Gabrielle Dietrich began her studies in Kodály methodology as an
undergraduate at University of the Pacific, where she assisted with
curriculum design, tutoring, and classroom teaching for freshman year
aural skills courses.  Concurrently, she taught general music and choir in
Stockton Unified and Lincoln Unified School Districts for grades 1-12 and
conducted the Stockton Youth Chorale.  During her graduate work, Ms.
Dietrich continued as a private tutor to undergraduate music
theory/aural skills students, conducted graduate and undergraduate
choral ensembles, and completed supplementary doctoral-level
coursework in vocal pedagogy, pedagogy of music theory, and
musicology.  

The Hungarian Scholarship Board and the Zoltán Kodály Pedagogical
Institute of Music invited Ms. Dietrich to spend the 2005-06 academic
year in Hungary and pursue an aural skills curriculum design project.  
During her stay in Hungary, she gave numerous solo performances and
participated in a production of Kodály’s singspiel Hary János as assistant
conductor and chorister with the Kecskemét Festival Chorus.  Ms.
Dietrich is currently the Director of Music for Christ Lutheran Church in
Highlands Ranch, CO, serves as the treasurer for the Colorado Dalcroze
Society, and is an active vocal recitalist in the Denver metropolitan area.
