Solfa Fundamentals
This prep/refresher course in musicianship skills is taken by students
who want and/or need a head start the week prior to beginning Level I.


Solfa Fundamentals

This course is an introduction/review of basic musicianship skills, including sight singing
using movable-
do solfa, rhythm reading using AKI rhythm vocables, ear training, inner
hearing, dictation, musical memory, improvisation, and part work.  Highly recommended as
a Solfa I prep course for students who are inexperienced or rusty in musicianship skills.    

All students applying for entrance to the master's program must take the
Solfa Skills
Assessment
test to determine their current level of musicianship skills.  Depending upon
test results, students may be excused from Solfa Fundamentals, recommended to take
Solfa Fundamentals, or required to take Solfa Fundamentals.  Click the link below to make
