| _________________FEES AND EXPENSES - 2008 APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION
BOOKS AND MATERIALS A list of required books and materials, including their costs, will be sent to each registered student. The largest investment in books and materials occurs at Level I. The same books are used again in Levels II and III, with very few additions. All books are essential items for the Kodály teacher’s library. Approximate costs are listed below: Level I: Books - $400 Materials - $70 Dulcimer kit - $65 Level II: Books - $40 Materials - $70 Provide your own guitar, __________________________________ __________strap, capo, and tuner. Level III: Books - $40 Materials - $70 Banjo kit - $130 _______________________________________ ____Provide your own strap. Level IV: Books - $120 ___ HOUSING Students who live more than thirty minutes away from the Loyola College campus are strongly advised to stay in residence hall housing during the program. Kodály program students stay in McAuley Hall in two-bedroom apartments with a bathroom, kitchen, and living/dining room. The cost is $43 per day single (one person per bedroom) or $38 per day double (two people per bedroom). Linens are included; students must provide their own dishes and cookware. A courtyard and a laundry room are located in the center of the apartments. Housing registration information and forms will be provided upon your acceptance to the Kodály master’s program. MEALS Catered Dinners Preceding Evening Events $80 ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGES Materials Fee (non-refundable). $25 ________________________________________________________________________ TEXTBOOKS, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES A detailed list of the books and supplies required for each class is available on the Textbooks and Materials page. Folk instrument kits and some textbooks are available directly from AKI. The remainder of the textbooks and supplies may be purchased from the Loyola College Book Store, on-line book shops or music stores.
